In my testing, the X2 Omni took just over an hour to wash its pad and begin work, and I noticed that it was more precise than other models that seemed to follow a gridded path around rooms. It was able to navigate my rooms' corners and edges, and also create a “Zambani pattern” across the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station regularly to empty the dust bin and wash the mop with hot water before starting another clean-up job. Like other Ecovacs products, the X2 Omni is a breeze to set up and begin using. Simply snap the dock into place then plug it in and pair it with your home WiFi network. It only takes about a minute. You can then open the app to begin your first cleaning task. I was able dive into the settings and customize my floor plan within about 15 minutes, incorporating specific areas to sweep and mop and reworking my furniture placements, and more. The X2 Omni was impressive in my tests. It scored high in the areas of pet hair removal as well as debris removal. It also was near-perfect in its results for edge and crevices cleaning. 2. It also comes with YIKO integrated, a first-of-its kind natural language processing technology that allows it to respond to a range of voice commands. You can use the ECOVACS app to map your home, create cleaning schedules, and alter settings. The T10 Omni's biggest flaw is that it can't switch between vacuuming and mopping in a single run. The two modes require that you attach and remove the mop heads according to the need and is suitable for most homes, but not suitable for people who have a busy schedule. The Deebot T10 is a great robot vacuum that delivers impressive results. It was able to remove more than 96% of the debris we tossed at it our hardwood flooring and floors, which is a remarkable performance. It also did a fantastic job on tile and carpet, removing over 90% of dirt and dust. This robot vacuum and mop has a large docking station that provides cool water cleaning for its mop pads, and auto-emptying into a 3L bag that's simple to replace, and hot-air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a large water tank that allows more frequent rinses and dry between mopping runs. The Deebot T10 features a wash tray built into its base, which is similar to other mopping robots. It uses the wash tray to rinse and dry its mop pads while it is using them. It's not cheap but if you're able to afford it, this is a great option for those who wish to be able to leave their homes free to do other tasks or to take care of chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that boosts suction to get rid of tough dirt or spills. It also has a battery-powered ElectroWall to establish boundaries for the robot. This budget-friendly model from a well-known upstart brand is the most affordable robot we've tested yet and offers an exceptional value for the money. The basic navigation system employs a super-basic random pathing algorithm that isn't equipped with room mapping capabilities, which makes it less efficient than the other models on this list. However it's still able navigate under furniture and into corners and its mopping mode was very effective in our testing it picked up pet hair and other debris with ease. 5. Shark iQ Shark's iQ may not be as well-built however, it's better in removing pet hair from all surfaces. It gets rid of floors with less efficiently and does a decent job on low-pile carpet and makes use of smart-pathing navigational technology for greater maneuverability. It can be directed to a particular area and has a suite of advanced automation features including no-go zones and schedules. It allows you to stop and resume cleaning sessions which is ideal for homes that have pets. Its self-cleaning brushroll helps prevent the tangles caused by pet hair and other debris, and its bagless self-emptying docking station can hold up to 30 days worth of dirt before it needs to be cleaned. It also has a set of side brushes that are angled to go deep into corners, and its multi-stage filter system is able to capture dust, dander, and allergens to ensure a healthier air. This robot vacuum is well-built and feels solid. It has an app on your smartphone that lets you change the settings of your vacuum and schedule cleaning times ahead of time. The app also lets you view the iQ's remaining battery life and send push notifications about any issues it encounters during a cleaning session. You can also control it using your voice via an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't have either of these devices, you can mark areas with physical boundary markers strips. The iQ does a decent job of removing bare floors and does a decent job on low-pile and shaggy carpet however, it doesn't have the same degree of autonomy as our top choices. It's also costly and the cost of recurring use can add up.
